Job description

Commissioning Engineer / Manager

[Engineering / Process plant / Electrical / materials handling / Conveyors]

Location: Derbyshire / Peak District / South Yorkshire

Contract Duration: 3-month contract

Rates: £400.00 - £425.00 per day DOE (Limited Co.)

IR35 Status: Outside IR35 suitable

We are working with a key client who is a heavy material, process handling & capital equipment engineering and installation company based out of Yorkshire. We are recruiting for an experienced Commissioning Engineer / Manager on a key customer site in the Peak District for a minimum of a 2-3-month contract on a major process site upgrade.

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Construction Director, managing the program of commissioning through to completion
  • Ensuring all commissioning documentation is complete
  • Working in conjunction with electrical and mechanical install teams
  • Ensuring project deliverables are being met
  • Point to point electrical testing
  • Checking documentation and certifications
  • Keeping track of installs and especially on shutdown to ensure specifications and timescales are achieved
  • Ensuring all H&S and site procedures are being adhered to

Qualifications:

  • Experience on £multi-million industrial project installs
  • Minimum HNC in Electrical Engineering
  • Site safety passport – CCNSG / CSCS
  • First Aid (beneficial)
  • IPAF (beneficial)

Working Hours:

  • 10-hour days Mon to Fri, and 12-hour days when the program requires
  • Some weekend working when the program requires
