Job description

Commissioning Engineer / Manager

[Engineering / Process plant / materials handling / Conveyors]

Derbyshire / Peak District / South Yorkshire

3-month contract

Rates: £400.00 - £425.00 per day DOE (Limited Co.)

Outside IR35 suitable

We are working with a key client who is a heavy material, process handling & capital equipment engineering and installation company, based out of Yorkshire. We are recruiting for an experienced Commissioning Engineer / Manager, on a key customer site in the Peak District for a minimum of a 2-3-month contract, on a major process site upgrade.

Responsibilities:

  1. Reporting to the Construction Director, managing the program of commissioning through to completion.
  2. Ensuring all commissioning documentation is complete.
  3. Working in conjunction with mechanical and electrical install teams.
  4. Ensuring project deliverables are being met.
  5. Point to point electrical testing.
  6. Checking documentation and certificates.
  7. Keeping track of installs and especially on shutdown to ensure specifications and timescales are achieved.
  8. Ensuring all H&S and site procedures are being adhered to.

Requirements:

  1. Experience on £multi-million industrial project installs.
  2. Minimum HNC Electrical Engineering.
  3. Site safety passport - CCNSG / CSCS.
  4. First Aid (beneficial).
  5. IPAF (beneficial).
  6. 10hr days Mon to Fri, and 12 hr days when the program requires.
  7. Some weekend working when the program requires.
