The Role of the Commissioning Engineer:

1. UK-wide commissioning of pumps, motors, inverters, and PLCs.
2. Creating and implementing detailed commissioning plans before heading to site.
3. Installing, testing and commissioning new capital equipment at water and food industry sites.
4. Occasional refurbishments, though the focus is mainly on new installs.
5. Spending up to two weeks on-site for installation projects, followed by office-based planning and reporting.
6. Collaborating with the internal team on project planning, documentation, and follow-up.
7. Ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality and safety standards.

The Ideal Person for the Commissioning Engineer Role:

1. Installation or project management experience, ideally within the wastewater or food sectors.
2. NEBOSH or Prince 2 qualifications would be an advantage.
3. Organised and IT literate with a mechanical or electrical background.
4. Capable of managing tradesmen on-site, ensuring projects run smoothly.
5. Experience in filtration or separation technologies would be beneficial.
6. Enthusiastic, energetic, and outgoing personality – a team player who can also take initiative and drive results.
7. Not necessarily a PLC programmer but needs to understand the technology.
8. Full UK driving license and willingness to travel extensively across the UK.
