Commissioning Engineer - Freelance - Main Contractor - Bolton - United Utilities Water Projects

Your new company: You will be joining a high-profile and established main contractor based in the Northwest operating in the water sector. This multi-accredited organisation has a strong pipeline of work, being United Utilities' contractor for the delivery of their non-infrastructure works and offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. Their commitment to delivering an exceptional standard of work has positioned them as a leader in the water industry and, due to continued success, they are looking to onboard a Commissioning Engineer to join their team.

Your new role:
  1. Preparing and maintaining detailed commissioning records and documentation
  2. Coordinating commissioning activities
  3. Chairing commissioning meetings with subcontractors and the client as and when required
  4. Reviewing and signing off commissioning documentation and RAMS
  5. Troubleshooting and resolving issues identified during commissioning
  6. Conducting pre-commissioning inspections and testing of equipment and systems
In order to be successful, you must have:
  1. Proven commissioning experience in the water industry, ideally on non-infrastructure projects
  2. Process knowledge around treatment and water movement
  3. Familiarity with Microsoft Office packages
  4. Full UK driving licence
