Location: Lympstone Manor 5* Luxury between Exeter and Exmouth

Salary: £28,554 plus gratuities

Hours: Full time

Relationships: Kitchen, Front of House teams and Sales

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Commis Chef to join our culinary team. As a Commis Chef, you will work under the guidance of our current chefs, assisting in the preparation and cooking of dishes while learning valuable skills in a professional kitchen environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in the culinary arts.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of your workstation, following health and safety regulations
  • Assisting in the daily preparation of MEP for a section within the kitchen
  • Learn and adhere to all recipes, cooking methods and kitchen procedures
  • Assist in receiving and storing deliveries
  • Follow instructions from senior chefs and complete tasks efficiently and accurately

  • A passion for cooking and a strong desire to develop a career in the high-end culinary industry
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment is a must
  • Willingness to learn and take direction from senior chefs

  • You can take the coastal train from Exeter St. Davids or Exeter Central train stations, take the Exmouth train and exit at Lympstone village. It is a 15 minute walk to Lympstone Manor from the train station.
