Our Commis Chef plays a crucial role in our kitchen team by assisting our Chefs in all aspects of food preparation and ensuring all catering areas are cleaned, maintained and safe. Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
We are looking for a self-motivated and proactive Commis Chef with excellent communication skills and a willingness to follow instructions. The ideal candidate will have relevant training and culinary qualifications, an understanding of Health and Safety standards, and knowledge of maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment. An up-to-date CIEH Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or equivalent) and previous experience in a catering department or kitchen are required. Ideally, you will have some knowledge of working in a care environment and stock control, along with the ability to prepare simple meals. You should be organised and adaptable, capable of working well within a team and independently.
