Siemens Energy Grid Solutions is experiencing significant growth in the UK and Ireland Transmission market, securing major infrastructure projects in both the offshore renewable sector and the HVDC interconnector sector. These projects represent some of the largest infrastructure initiatives in the UK, each capable of delivering up to 3 GW of energy-enough to power 1,000,000 homes. They involve a complex integration of electrical engineering, digital technology, and mechanical fabrication. We serve both traditional transmission utilities and independent developers investing in these promising markets, with expectations for continued growth over the next five years as the country advances toward its net-zero ambitions. Siemens Energy is a market leader in this sector, with ambitious plans to deliver 50 GW of large infrastructure projects by 2030.

The Siemens Energy Project Entity is responsible for the successful delivery of these large infrastructure projects.

Within the Siemens Energy Project Entity, we're looking for an experienced Commercial Project Manager to join our rapidly growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for all commercial aspects in implementing large turnkey projects.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Managing and optimizing targeted financial results, with the objective of implementing the project according to the defined Project Management (PM) standards, customer requirements and the applicable Financial Reporting Guidelines (FRG).
• Ensures the accuracy of cost and pricing calculations, as well as overall project books and records.
• Prepares commercial documentation for regular project status meetings and ensures the accuracy of the commercial project data including the forecasting of revenue, profit and cash. Close cooperation with Management to early highlight risks and opportunities.
• Together with the Project Manager and Contracts Manager; proactively manages contract administration.
• Supports the Project Manager in identifying, evaluating, assessing risks & opportunities, strategies and response activities and ensures correct methodology for evaluation of risk and opportunities.
• Performs contract analysis with regard to opportunities and risks identification of change order and/or claim potential. Ensures Commercial requirements are met, and Siemens Energy contractual rights and entitlements are protected.
• Manages customer negotiations and final account settlements of the supply chain.

What You Bring

• Qualified accountant with a track record of financially and commercially managing complex projects; extensive experience in commercial project management.
• Experience in setting up and negotiating terms and conditions with customers and key suppliers.
• Experience in project budgeting, financial management of risk, opportunities, and claims.
• Great teammate and collaborative work attitude.
• Competent in liaising with and managing the expectations of senior management and key stakeholders.
