Job description

We are looking for a Commercial Program Strategist, reporting to the leader of our Commercial Center of Excellence, to manage our account-facing commercial programs, including our product licensing and program entitlements for our software maintenance and subscription products. This role will contribute to the company’s growth by working with our product and account leaders to ensure that our commercial programs serve as vehicles to maximize the value of our product and service offerings as we bring them to market.

Your Day-to-Day:

• Conduct competitive and account research to both understand the value and feature gaps of our current programs and identify short-term commercial opportunities.
• Collaborate with account and product leaders to understand how changes to our accounts’ business models and our product roadmap will impact our accounts’ long-term needs.
• Develop and deliver against a roadmap for feature enhancements, new model introduction, and current model sunset, managing our commercial program lifecycles like technology products.
• Build data-driven proposals to support program recommendations for cross-functional review and approval, including senior executives.
• Support execution and change management, including pilot programs designed to experiment, understand, and incorporate learning where necessary to manage risk or build the case for change.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years working in a commercial role (such as product management, renewal management), ideally managing product or program entitlements.
• Familiarity with software licensing models, including perpetual, subscription, and consumption models.
• Experience with both establishing contract standards and negotiation.
• Experience working with markets both inside and outside the United States.
• Experience leading multi-stakeholder strategic projects from inception to completion, identifying and developing solutions to challenging problems, tracking impact and course correcting when required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA degree or 10+ years working in a commercial role, plus account-facing experience or P&L responsibility.
• Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) products or other software designed to increase civil engineer productivity, ideally for infrastructure projects.
• Experience with Public Sector contracting.
• Familiarity with emerging innovation in SaaS and Artificial Intelligence and current best practices to support growth through licensing, including targeted upgrade programs.
