Job Description

An innovative UK-based manufacturing business specialising in sustainable battery production for electric vehicles is currently looking to hire a Product Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving growth by setting the product vision and strategy, aligning the product roadmap to market requirements, and leading the technical sales strategy and execution.

The Product Director will:

  • Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap in alignment with customer and sector requirements.
  • Lead the technical sales function, including the expansion of go-to-market teams covering sales, technical sales, and application engineering.
  • Manage key strategic customers, suppliers, and partners as part of account management responsibilities.
  • Oversee product launches, including the development of sales, marketing, and technical content to support go-to-market strategies.
  • Provide technical sales leadership by developing a strong pipeline and delivering revenue growth across multiple sectors.
  • Prepare and present sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and market analysis.

The Product Director will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years in engineering, with at least 5 years in electrification (battery experience ).
  • Strong technical understanding with the ability to translate complex engineering concepts into compelling value propositions.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in product management, technical sales, or sales leadership.
  • Strong background in technically focused marketing, including public speaking, press interviews, social media engagement, and podcasts.
  • Demonstrated experience in executing go-to-market strategies and driving revenue growth.
