OTTO JAMES CONSULTING is supporting a Cheshire based organisation in their search for a Commercial Operations Accountant to head up their pricing and costings team and they look to expand their North West operation.
My client is a key business within the UK’s Utilities, Construction and Maintenance arena. They are continuingly looking for expansion and they thrive on securing contracts through efficient and effective price positioning.
My client has a proven track record of engaging finance with the wider business, in order to help add value. Their belief and mantra is that Finance should be visible with the organisation, even if that means visiting the operational sites that you will be supporting.
The Role
The role of Commercial Operations Accountant is seen as a true Business Partnering role and has come about following a tranche of growth which has seen the business reach their current bandwidth of resource. The position has come about following the restructure of the organisations finance teams, so that there is now a greater emphasis on commercially information, and added value to the manufacturing & distribution processes.
The successful Qualified Accounting Professional will be in a pivotal role within the business and increase the control measures around budgeting, forecasting and reporting. You will have exposure to the wider finance and none-finance functions, ensuring that all variables from internal and external operations are taken into account.
Key aspects to your role will include but not limited to:
Engage with Operational Directors around the organisation, to help drive finances exposure across the business is the largest aspect to this role. Yours skills as an accounting professional and a commercial manager will be utilised to show internal clients that you can add value and support them in the organisational growth.
This is a challenging role that would best suit a talented qualified accountant who has the ability to communicate at a high level, build relationships, develop processes, and understand the necessity of Finance in an internal stake-holding facing position.
Your Profile
Applicants must be qualified ACA, CIMA or ACCA and be able to demonstrate how they have provided commercial and strategic support to an organization.
