The Company:
Are you currently working as a Commercial Manager looking for a fresh challenge or a Managing Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in your career?

We have partnered up with a longstanding client who is going through a sustained period of growth and is looking to bolster their commercial team by bringing in a Commercial Manager within the Walsall area to oversee all commercial aspects of major & minor projects.

My client is a leading Contractor in the Civil Engineering world.

This Commercial Manager role will be reporting directly into the Commercial Director. This role will be looking after a portfolio of projects across the Walsall and Birmingham area as well as concentrating on change within these projects. The business has a very strong order book with further growth predicted.

Role Purpose:
  1. Contract Management: Oversee NEC Contract administration and reporting, focusing on change management.
  2. Value Engineering: Lead efforts in value engineering, from Compensation Event Quotation development to formal submission and negotiation.
  3. Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal teams and external client stakeholders.
  4. Risk Management: Lead Change Management and Risk Reduction meetings, providing commercial risk advice to the wider project team.
  5. Commercial Governance: Ensure compliance with commercial governance and maintain accurate commercial records.
