Our client, a dynamic leader in the aviation manufacturing sector, is currently seeking a Commercial Manager, with a lead towards finance, to join their team.

Job description

This is a permanent role in the manufacturing sector, offering an exciting opportunity to bring commercial and analytical expertise. This role will be working closely with the finance director and other departments to drive business success.

This is a heavily client focused role, you will be building relationships with key accounts, getting to know their needs, creating pricing proposals, negotiating costs and making sure the proposal is fit for purpose throughout the client journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with the Sales team to respond to customer enquiries and Requests for Proposals
  • Ownership of the internal pricing process and margin analysis
  • Analysing internal cost drivers to optimise pricing tools and identify opportunities for efficiency and improvement across the business
  • Assist and support in financial forecasting, including sales forecasts and capacity planning
  • Contribute to the overall development of the business as a member of the management team
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with customers, suppliers, and colleagues

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Highly numerate, with a strong commercial background in a finance related role
  • Experience within manufacturing, engineering or production would be ideal
  • Part qualified in finance or QBE
  • Resilient nature with strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Dynamic team player with a 'can-do' attitude and flexibility
  • Ability to work in a technical or production environment
