Murphy is currently recruiting for a Commercial Manager to join our award-winning Energy team in Kentish Town, London covering the portfolio of Power, Transmission & Distribution projects such as Substations, HV Cables & Overhead Lines. Our team is known for its extensive in-house expertise and continual drive to innovate within the industry. Reporting into the Senior Commercial Manager, the Commercial Manager will lead an established team within the Energy Business Unit. Following the ‘One Murphy’ approach, we’re able to deliver all aspects of the projects we work on. Murphy has designed, constructed, and commissioned projects for clients such as National Grid, SSE and Ørsted, on both transmission and distribution networks within the Energy sector.
Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS) or equivalent.
Commercially astute with substantial experience within a commercial role in the Civil Engineering / Construction Industry. Expert knowledge of Standard Forms of Contract and Standard Methods of Measurement. Understanding of programming techniques and project controls. Gravitas, relationship management on senior peer to peer basis. Substantial post qualification experience.
