Commercial Manager

Fawkes and Reece are currently assisting in the search for a Commercial Manager for a family-owned Main contractor with offices across the UK and Europe, with a strong pipeline of both new and repeat clients.

About the role of Commercial Manager:

They are currently seeking a Commercial Manager to head up Data Centre projects with a team of surveyors. The project is currently in PCSA stages.

You would be required to oversee all commercial aspects, ensuring the project is running to deadlines and within budgets. Reporting to the client, mentoring and recruiting members of the team, and reporting upstream to the client. Stepping in to assist with any problematic issues and driving commercial success.

You will be reporting to the division's Commercial Director, and also the company Managing Directors.

The ideal candidate will have experience as a commercial lead and managing a team, overseeing projects OVER £50M and with specific data centre experience. This is a good opportunity for someone who is capable of running an initial project and wants to grow a division and team in the next 12-24 months.

Duties of Commercial Manager:

1. Lease with the client on all upstream requirements including cost reporting and contract negotiating.
2. Manage any dispute and resolution.
3. Manage cost forecasting, variations, and change.
4. Mentor and develop the team and support them with their own career goals.

The Company:

The business is a leading main contractor with a turnover circa £700m and growing. The key projects include Industrial, commercial, hotels, and leisure.

They have gone from strength to strength over the past 2 years, winning an abundance of work and expanding across the region, working on projects up to £100m under this specific division.
