Based Hartlepool, County Durham (with 2 days per week at Louth, Lincolnshire)

Excellent negotiable salary + car + bonus

Note: there is also the opportunity for the Commercial Manager to be based at Louth, with travel as required to Hartlepool.

Our Client – Coveris is a leading European packaging Group that manufactures paper and plastic-based flexible sustainable packaging solutions for some of the world's most respected brands. They operate from 30 sites in the EMEA region with over 4500 employees.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Group in the newly created role of Commercial Manager, overseeing products manufactured across two integrated sites with a combined turnover of approximately £65m per year. Together, these sites serve a diverse range of industries with high-quality packaging solutions. The Louth site, operating 24/7, specializes in blown film extrusion and flexographic printing, producing PE & LLDPE collation films and OPP wrap-around labels for blue-chip beverage, frozen food, fresh produce, and industrial customers. Complementing this, the Hartlepool site focuses on tamper-evident specialty bags and document pouches for high-security markets, alongside a broad range of mailing, e-commerce, and produce bags. This role offers the opportunity to drive commercial success across both sites, leveraging their combined expertise to deliver innovative and high-performance packaging solutions.

The Commercial Manager will play a key role in shaping the company’s strategic direction, driving profitability and delivering a commercial excellence framework, ensuring robust processes and procedures are in place. Working closely with the financial team, you will deliver and lead pricing strategy and will own the tender management process, ensuring commercial viability and alignment with overall business objectives. Responsible for a team of 2 Commercial Analysts, you will ensure cross-functional collaboration to ensure the business remains competitive and delivers long-term value, driving customer and product margin enhancement at every opportunity.

Well educated with strong data/IT/analytical skills, you will be a proven Commercial Manager with experience of delivering and driving continuous improvement and commercial excellence in a progressive, high-volume manufacturing environment. Capable of delivering effective change management, you will demonstrate agility, energy, and enthusiasm, achieving success through leading and inspiring teams to engage and contribute.
