The Opportunity
As a Commercial Manager, you'll collaborate with a small team of Commercial Managers to provide essential commercial support for managing the Responsible Designer (RD) contract on HPC. Serving as primary commercial contact for the HPC Project and Engineering community, you'll oversee commercial RD matters while ensuring effective contract management.
You'll take ownership of the commercial aspects for specific scope areas within the RD contract and support the Commercial Assistant in completing key team activities.
What you'll be doing
You'll work under the leadership of the Senior Commercial Manager, ensuring the successful implementation of commercial procedures and compliance with HPC governance requirements.
You'll be responsible for managing key scope areas within the RD contract, overseeing commercial relationships, and ensuring stakeholder expectations are met regarding value, fairness, and supply chain engagement. You'll lead contract execution, including change management via Compensation Events, and support other commercial/contract processes and reporting.
You'll also play a key role in fostering a strong nuclear safety culture, mentoring team members, and supporting commercial assistants with reporting, data management, and procurement activities.
Who you are
Being a Commercial Manager at HPC means demonstrating strategic thinking and a data-driven approach while effectively managing contracts in a complex environment. You'll have a strong track record of leading Commercial Teams and administering NEC3 PSC contracts, ensuring sound financial decision-making on high-value matters.
You'll bring expertise in contract performance management, risk management, and change management, along with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders. High levels of IT literacy, including proficiency in MS Excel and SAP, are essential to support commercial activities and reporting.
