Job Title: HVAC Technician

Location: Cardiff-LLantrisant Road PFS, Cardiff (Super Centre), Cardiff Bay, Cardiff Coryton PFS, Gorseinon, Leckwith Road, Llannelli, Llanelli Living, Llantrisant Living, Maestag, Pembroke Dock, Pentwyn, Pont

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 42.5 Hours Per Week, Monday to Friday 8:00am - 5:30pm (with Standby Rota of 1 week in every 4)

The HVAC Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all HVAC plant and equipment in ASDA stores to a pre-determined standard in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Respond promptly and positively to service call/alarm requests from the central Helpdesk, assess job requirements, and carry out repairs as necessary within agreed timescales and response times. Update the call and job status afterwards.
2. Carry out service and maintenance on HVAC assets including but not limited to air handling units with gas fired heating, LPHW, DX coils, heat pump systems, single split air conditioning, LPHW boilers, pumps, inverters, DHW boilers, and water chillers.
3. Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery, promptly advise the Line Manager of findings, and make recommendations regarding suitable replacement.

Qualifications / Experience:

Essential:

1. You will hold recognized Commercial Gas qualifications - at least 4 of the following qualifications: COCN1, CIGA1, CORT1, TPCP1, TPCP1A, ICPN1, CENWAT, CPA1, CDGA1, CCP1.
2. F Gas (2079) qualified.

Desirable:

1. 17th or 18th Edition.

Full Driving Licence and willingness to travel on a daily basis.
