Commercial Gas Engineer

GBP52,000 - GBP55,000 + Door to Door + Van + Standby

Winner Recruitment are currently working with an innovative growing service provider who focuses on hard services within the facilities management sector across commercial, industrial, and healthcare sectors. They are looking to recruit a Commercial Gas Engineer who will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of gas appliances and systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and demonstrate proficiency in using various tools and equipment in different working sectors. This role requires a commitment to safety and quality, ensuring that all work complies with relevant regulations and standards.

Duties:

1. Install, maintain, and repair all types of gas heating and plumbing systems in the healthcare sector.
2. Conduct regular inspections to ensure the safe operation of gas systems.
3. Diagnose faults in gas appliances and carry out necessary repairs.
4. Assemble components as needed for various projects.
5. Understand and complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time to exceed customer expectations.
6. Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete installations efficiently.
7. Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
8. Adhere to health and safety regulations.
9. Work away from home during Mon-Thursday when required.

Candidate:

1. Relevant qualifications e.g. COCN1, MET1, CCN1, CEN1, CKR1, HTR1, CDGA1, CIGA1, CODNCO1, CORT1, UVHW.
2. Hold either OFTEC & LPG qualification.
3. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely.
4. Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and fault-find issues effectively.
5. Good general experience in working in occupied premises.
6. Clear communicator both orally and in writing.
7. A customer-focused approach.
