Job description

Location: Dartford and London

Our client is looking to recruit a new team member and has immediate starts available.

You will be working on commercial projects and will be installing and maintaining hanging baskets and window boxes (and associated landscaping). No vast horticultural knowledge is required, but you must be prepared for hard work and overtime during seasonal planting periods (September to October and April to early June).

This is a great opportunity to join an independent family-run business that has been well established since 1980. They are environmentally aware and have worked to reduce the peat content in compost, minimize water used in their nursery, and use only biological control on and off-site to treat pests and diseases.

They cover a large geographical radius, from Southampton to Norfolk and everywhere in between. They alternate it so you'd have a long drive one day and then stay closer to home the next day; they don't want their team to get burnt out and feel they look after the members of their team very well. They want a happy workforce.

A driving license is essential, as is the confidence to drive vans around London. You will be required to finish your day in Dartford each day to load up ready for the following day, and you will go straight to the site each morning, so you will be given a vehicle to take home.

Some mornings will require a 5-6am start.

Overtime is paid at a flat rate Monday to Friday, 1.5 on Saturdays, and 2x on Sundays/Bank Holidays.

20 days paid holiday.
