Job description

Commercial Finance Manager

Axon Moore are supporting an exciting, global manufacturing business in sourcing a high calibre, commercially focused Financial Controller to join as site number 1. Our client is due to embark on a period of significant growth and transformation and require an experienced individual with a background in manufacturing to lead them on this journey. You will be running the finance function whilst providing strategic direction and leadership including managing a junior team.

Salary - £75,000 - £80,000 + 15% Bonus

Location - Macclesfield, 3 days per week on-site

Main duties as Commercial Finance Manager

  1. Providing commercial analysis to group and to support strategic decision making
  2. Acting as true business partner to operations to drive growth and profitability
  3. Supporting company financial model and 5 year plan
  4. Forecasting and budgeting
  5. As site number 1 you will be providing leadership across the entire division
  6. Developing the monthly board pack including variance analysis
  7. Strong market awareness to recognise external business opportunities
  8. Driving manufacturing efficiencies and pricing to maximise profits
Person Specification
  1. Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  2. Experience within manufacturing is a must
  3. Excellent people skills
  4. Highly commercial, consistently seeking to initiate business improvements
  5. Strong business partnering skills
  6. Comfortable engaging senior stakeholders
