Job description

An exciting opportunity to work for a fast paced global media company and a highly agile Finance function. This Bath based role will support the E-Commerce and Programmatic teams. It will also offer the opportunity to work cross functionally with various stakeholders across digital advertising, also looking at Ad capacity and yield.

The role reports to the Senior Commercial Finance Manager - Digital, who is based in Bath, England.

What you'll be doing

You will be primarily responsible for E-Commerce, business partnering the eCommerce team and looking to highlight key trends to drive added value. You will also support on the Advertising Waterfall, which looks at how we monetise our digital content at Future. You will look at key metrics around our audience, impressions volumes and pricing (yields).

You will:

  • Be the eCommerce team’s ‘go to’ person for financial support, acting as a trusted Finance Business Partner.
  • Review month end management accounts as produced by the Management Accounts hub, ensuring integrity of amounts booked in the accounts.
  • Provide month end analysis on eCommerce revenue and costs, both against our forecasts and prior year, analysing both by brand and revenue stream to show valuable trends.
  • Support on production of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts - this involves ownership and updating of eComm forecast models, aiming to continuously improve forecasting accuracy.
Experience that will put you ahead of the curve
  • Qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA).
  • Strength in managing large data sets and building and navigating financial models (Google sheets experience desirable but not essential).
  • Ability to hone in on elements that don’t look right within the data, and spot where there are problems that need fixing.
  • Desire to understand and challenge the ‘why’ when it comes to producing numbers.
