The Commercial Finance Manager will be joining adynamic team and be instrumental in shaping the financial strategy to propel the business forward.

Responsibilities

Financial Planning and Forecasting

  • Lead Strategic Financial Planning: Oversee annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and strategic plans.
  • Accurate Financial Forecasting: Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to refine inputs for precise forecasts.

Financial Analysis and Reporting

  • In-Depth Variance Analysis: Conduct variance analyses to understand the impact of volume, price, and cost changes on profits.
  • Present Financial Insights: Simplify and communicate financial data in team meetings.
  • Commercial Analysis and ROI: Analyze pricing, promotions, and return on investment (ROI) to support commercial decisions.

Strategic and Operational Support

  • Support Strategic Initiatives: Assist with customer negotiations, new product proposals, and promotional plans.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis and Support: Provide critical data and analysis for various teams.

Collaboration and Coordination

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various departments to support decision-making and ensure seamless operations.

Tools and Accuracy

  • Leverage Advanced Tools: Use tools like Adaptive and PowerBI for reporting.
  • Ensure Financial Accuracy: Maintain the reliability of financial statements.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven Commercial Business Partnering experience in an FMCG business
  • Ideally a qualified accountant (e.g., CA, CIMA, ACCA, ACMA)
  • Desirable background in rapidly growing businesses.
  • Inquisitive and driven to improve current practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Advanced Excel skills, capable of handling large data sets.
