Commercial Finance Manager

Are you a commercially-minded finance professional ready to make a real impact at a group level? We're looking for an ambitious and collaborative Group Commercial Finance Business Partner to join our client's dynamic team based in Chichester.

In this high-visibility role, you'll partner with the Commercial Director and team to drive insights, profitability, and business growth across the UK, Portugal, and Group-level operations. You'll oversee gross margin reporting, scenario planning, and strategic commercial support—ensuring decisions are based on robust financial analysis and clear commercial visibility.

What You'll Be Doing

1. Act as the key finance contact for UK, Portugal, and Group commercial reporting.
2. Lead customer gross margin analysis and weekly Commercial Meeting financial support.
3. Create scenario planning tools and support new business opportunities.
4. Provide commercial support including trade debtor analysis and liaising with our Trade Credit Insurer.
5. Deliver clear, actionable insight through data, partnering with the Commercial Director.
6. Manage and coach the UK & Portugal Operations Business Partners.
7. Oversee budget and forecast activities across trade debtors, procurement, crop planning, and more.
8. Ensure consistency in processes and reporting across regions.

What You'll Bring

1. ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional finance qualification.
2. Proven experience in a Commercial Finance role.
3. Strong commercial awareness and business partnering expertise.
4. High proficiency in Microsoft Business Central or equivalent ERP system.
5. Exceptional analytical, Excel, and data presentation skills.
6. Background in FMCG, food, or agriculture sectors (preferred).
7. A proactive, collaborative, and flexible mindset—with the ability to travel regularly to Portugal.
