Join JD Sports as a Commercial Finance Manager and drive growth, shape strategy, and make an impact in the fast-paced world of global sports and fashion retail.

As the Commercial Finance Manager for Size? Group & Mainline, you will be responsible for leading the financial planning, analysis, commercial reporting and providing business partnering to the Size? Group fascia’s and Mainline Menswear. This role entails strategic financial management, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and ensuring sound financial decision-making across multiple business units.

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Commercial Finance Manager, you'll be doing the following:

• Business Partnership and Support:
  
  • Provide financial support to the Operations Director & Brand Director for Size? Group and the Managing Director of Mainline Menswear.
  • Be the key finance representative for any investment projects, new store investment, and other strategic decisions for Size? Group.
• Budget and Forecast Management:
  
  • Manage the business units Budget and Reforecast process for your area. This includes retail & digital trade and direct costs, alongside the head office cost base for the business units.
  • Manage the Size? Marketing teams budget and continually monitor spend.
• Collaboration with specialist Finance Teams & wider Group teams:
  
  • Work closely with specialist Finance teams (Distribution, Digital, Property) to deliver a coherent full Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet forecast.
  • Ensure Group reporting deadlines are met by liaising with other business partners, trading leads, merchandising to receive timely reporting feeds into our reporting systems and understand & reconcile reporting outputs.
• Stakeholder Communication:
  
  • Present financial information to senior stakeholders on a monthly & ad-hoc basis.
  • Represent finance as part of the Size? Group Senior Leadership team and regularly present financial information to the team.
• Strategic Financial Guidance:
  
  • Partner, support, and challenge the Group’s operational departments alongside the Size? Group trading and head office departments by producing financial models, conducting scenario analyses, and assessing risks to support decision-making and business growth.
• Team Culture and Development:
  
  • Embed a team culture aligned with the Group’s core values.
• Financial Oversight:
  
  • Support cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditure forecasting.
  • Approval of travel & ad-hoc staff spend.

What We're Looking For:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or Equivalent).
• Industry Expertise (Retail or Fashion).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Comfortable working under pressure, meeting tight deadlines, and managing multiple projects and priorities.
• Exhibit a positive attitude, enthusiasm, resilience, and a proactive approach to challenges.
