Commercial Finance Business Partner

I am delighted to be supporting a commercially focused finance director with their search for a Finance Business Partner to join their team.

This brand-new role is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-known business in Huddersfield. The business has been through a significant period of growth and expansion and is now looking to strengthen their Leeds-based finance team by hiring a high calibre Commercial Finance Business Partner.

The role will be standalone with full ownership of the pricing policy and profit improvement initiatives driving both customer and profitability growth, campaign management, and revenue budget.

This opportunity would be ideally suited to someone with a strong commercial finance background looking to accelerate their career.

Reporting directly to the Commercial Finance Director, the key duties of this role will include:

• Develop strategies to optimise increases in customer volume and profitability - including implementation and maintenance of pricing tariffs and policies, sales/customer incentives, and targeted price increases.
• Taking ownership of the division's rolling forecast model.
• Ownership of bi-weekly trading and monthly KPI tracking pack, understanding and explaining key reasons for variances to forecast and presenting this to the SLT.
• Partnering with various teams to develop KPI reporting suite for senior and exec-level management.
• Monitor market changes and maintain a detailed understanding of competitor tariffs, products, and propositions to ensure our continued competitiveness.

The successful candidate will:

• Have experience in a commercially focused finance role - Essential
• Have strong and advanced Excel skills and be comfortable working with large volumes of data - Essential
• Have experience within the financial services or utilities sector - Highly desirable
• Have experience of SQL or Power BI - Desirable
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
