Location: Leeds (hybrid working - 2 days in the office)

Sellick Partnership has been assigned to recruit a Commercial Finance Analyst for an instantly recognisable business who are the market leaders in their industry and based in Leeds.

They have outperformed their competitors over the past few years and will continue to do so by driving their strategic plan, delivering further improvements and changes that will make a real impact on the whole business.

You will play a key part in the team that's responsible for analysing and driving cost efficiencies and optimisation as part of the strategy programme. You will bring a highly analytical approach to a complex/data-heavy area, recommending areas for improvement and package them up into deployable plans.

You will be tasked to deliver commercial insightful reports so that the business can inform and optimise their business decisions. You will also be consolidating and building reporting outputs and partnering with finance business partners and business teams to identify any opportunities that might have a financial impact and add those into the strategic plans.

Minimum Requirements:

1. The successful applicant will be a qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA or CIMA) coming from a similar commercial analyst role or a commercial analytical role.
2. You will have excellent analytical, detail-oriented, and communication skills, with the ability to present data and influence stakeholders.
3. Advanced IT and spreadsheet skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, complex formulas) and experience with planning tools.
4. Strong prioritisation in a dynamic environment, with a focus on continuous improvement and spotting new opportunities.
5. The role requires an ambitious and proactive individual who enjoys applying a strong commercial focus, with the ability to build robust and productive relationships, providing support and challenge across all functions and liaising with senior management.
