Morgan McKinley, on behalf of our client, are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Commercial Director to spearhead business growth, oversee commercial strategies, and build strong client relationships. This role is ideal for a commercially driven professional with a strong background in business development, contract negotiation, and pricing strategy. You will play a key role in shaping market approaches, securing new business, and ensuring profitable, sustainable agreements. Working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, you will take ownership of the commercial lifecycle from identifying and evaluating opportunities to finalising high-value contracts. Your ability to balance commercial objectives with client needs will be instrumental in driving long-term success.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Business Development & Commercial Strategy: Lead end-to-end commercial processes, from opportunity identification to contract execution. Collaborate with engagement and operations teams to develop compelling proposals and tender responses. Design and implement pricing strategies aligned with market trends, business goals, and client expectations. Negotiate complex commercial terms, ensuring favourable outcomes for all stakeholders.
  2. Proposal & Contract Management: Oversee the creation and review of commercial proposals, statements of work, and master service agreements. Ensure all commercial documentation adheres to governance and approval processes. Work closely with leadership to refine commercial strategies for proposals. Engage with internal stakeholders to maintain compliance with company standards.
  3. Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key clients, identifying opportunities for growth. Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure commercial alignment throughout project execution. Partner with finance teams to oversee invoicing accuracy and revenue tracking.
  4. Sales & Growth Responsibilities: Identify and assess new business opportunities, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives. Develop tailored commercial strategies for each prospect, including pricing models and contract structures. Lead commercial negotiations, balancing risk management with business growth. Work alongside sales and engagement teams to drive account expansion and cross-selling initiatives.
  5. Market & Industry Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies. Attend industry events and contribute insights to enhance business strategies. Continuously refine sales and commercial strategies based on market intelligence.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
  1. Bachelor's degree in business, Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  2. 7+ years in business development, commercial strategy, or solutions consulting.
  3. Proven success in securing and negotiating high-value, complex contracts.
  4. Experience positioning and selling enterprise solutions, including ERP, HR, and CRM systems.
  5. Strong understanding of technology services pricing models and procurement processes.
