Daniel Owen are proud to be representing a well-known social housing company based in Essex area who are looking for an ambitious Commercial Director to join their team.

They are looking for a proactive Commercial Director who can oversee various Social Housing, Facilities and Cleaning/Catering work streams.

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure the commercial success and viability of the various work streams.
2. Lead all commercial activities in relation to the work streams.
3. Negotiate with suppliers and contractors to achieve value for money.
4. Manage budgets allocated to the service and work collaboratively with the Head of Operations.
5. Oversee cost control, variations approvals, and finance reporting.
6. Validate all materials expenditure incurred by the work streams.
7. Ensure commercial delivery by overseeing the team and contacting clients.
8. Resolve contractual issues with clients and the supply chain.
9. Report to the Head of Operations on Business Units and CVR's.
10. Focus on contract performance, WIP, debt, etc., ensuring monthly reconciliations.
11. Manage the commercial team in producing and claiming variations.
12. Lead a regional team including Commercial, Estimating, Surveying, Governance, Procurement, and Administration.

Key Knowledge:

1. Interest in the property services/construction industry.
2. IT and Excel literate.
3. HNC or Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial management qualification required.
