Many of the firms commercial solicitors have undertaken secondments at multi-national blue-chip companies operating in a range of sectors. This has given the team valuable experience of working with and understanding the requirements of the pressures faced by in-house counsel.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Partner and there will be opportunities to help shape the strategic direction and business development initiatives of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage a varied caseload of complex matters that will include:
2. Drafting standard agreements including terms of sale and contracts of distribution and agency.
3. Drafting and negotiating a wide range of business-to-business contracts.
4. Drafting standard terms for sales to consumers.
5. Advising on data protection compliance including desktop audits and time-sensitive matters as they arise.
6. Providing transactional support to the corporate team.
7. Ensure personal legal knowledge is kept up to date and new advancements are communicated to the wider team.
8. Be involved in the marketing and business development of both the department and the firm.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

1. You will have a minimum of 3 years PQE in a commercial role.
2. Have an excellent academic background.
3. Possess exceptional client care skills.
4. Be able to demonstrate proactive management of matters with a minimum of supervision.
5. Possess networking and client development skills.
