Are you a proactive and detail-oriented individual with an interest in the construction industry? We are looking for a dedicated Commercial Assistant to join our team and support our commercial operations. This is an excellent opportunity to grow within a dynamic and fast-paced environment based in Banbury, Oxfordshire.

The company:

Our client is a Groundworks and Civil Engineering company working across the West Midlands.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with the preparation and management of project budgets and cost estimates.
  2. Support the procurement process by managing supplier and subcontractor relationships.
  3. Help in the preparation of tender submissions and contracts.
  4. Track project progress and ensure cost control measures are in place.
  5. Manage and update project documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  6. Provide administrative support to the commercial team as needed.
  7. Work closely with project managers and site teams to resolve any commercial issues that may arise.
  8. Assist with invoice processing and cost reporting.

Skills & Experience Required:

  1. Previous experience in a commercial or administrative role within the construction industry (preferred).
  2. Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  3. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.), experience with project management software a plus.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  6. A keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  7. A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to work as part of a team.
