Commercial Account Handler

PIB Insurance Brokers is a dynamic insurance broker attracting individuals with a wealth of experience in the insurance market. The business provides expertise across a broad range of specialisms including professions, property, construction, transportation, trade credit, real estate, leisure, construction, haulage and charities.

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Insurance Account Handler to join our team in Nottingham.

The ideal candidate will have a strong retail broking background, extensive cross-class insurance knowledge, and over 5 years of experience in the industry. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, combining office-based and remote work.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage and service a portfolio of commercial insurance clients.
  2. Provide expert advice on cross-class insurance products, ensuring clients receive tailored solutions.
  3. Handle renewals, mid-term adjustments, and new business enquiries efficiently.
  4. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and insurers.
  5. Negotiate terms with insurers to secure the best outcomes for clients.
  6. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  7. Support the team in achieving business targets and objectives.
Essential Skills and Experience:
  1. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial insurance handling.
  2. Strong retail broking background with proven expertise in cross-class insurance.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
  5. Proficient in using insurance broking systems and tools.
  6. Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  7. Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
Desirable Attributes:
  1. Professional qualifications such as Cert CII or Dip CII.
  2. Experience working in a hybrid environment.
  3. Familiarity with PIB Brokers’ systems and processes.
