Collections Specialist

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Collections Specialist to manage and optimize the invoicing and collections process for Ads revenue from campaign creators, specifically charities, on our platform. This role ensures timely payments while maintaining positive relationships with our clients, many of whom are nonprofit organizations with mission-driven objectives. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional communication skills, a proactive approach to collections, and a strong understanding of financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Collections Process
   1. Monitor overdue accounts and initiate timely follow-ups to ensure prompt payments.
   2. Develop and implement effective collection strategies tailored to the unique needs of charity clients.
   3. Collaborate with campaign creators to address payment delays or disputes professionally and empathetically.
2. Client Communication
   1. Act as the primary point of contact for invoice-related inquiries, providing clear and accurate information.
   2. Establish and maintain positive relationships with charity clients to encourage timely payments and foster trust.
3. Reporting & Analysis
   1. Prepare regular reports on collections status, outstanding balances, and key metrics for internal stakeholders.
   2. Identify trends and potential risks related to payment delays, recommending actionable solutions.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
   1. Work closely with the Finance and Ads teams to align on invoicing timelines, payment terms, and process improvements.
   2. Assist in resolving discrepancies or issues related to invoice amounts, campaign performance, or terms.
5. Process Improvement
   1. Continuously assess and enhance collections processes to improve efficiency and reduce payment delays.
   2. Stay updated on industry best practices for collections, especially within the nonprofit sector.
