CNC Grinder

Salary: £38,500 + bonus
Location: Bristol BS1
Hours: 38 hours a week on shifts Monday to Friday, 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm (early finish Fridays on all shifts)
Benefits: 33 days holiday incl bank holidays, pension 4.5%, free parking

A friendly and successful aerospace engineering company in Bristol is recruiting for a CNC Grinder or CNC Universal Grinder who would report to the section team leader.

Job Description

• Setting and operating Jones & Shipman and Toyoda universal grinding machines.
• Product compliance through manufacture processing adherence.
• Maintaining quality of product to relevant quality standards using conventional measuring equipment.
• Basic programming ability would be useful but not essential.

Key Skills Required

• Qualified in mechanical engineering, minimum two years' experience of performing CNC Machining operations preferably within an Aerospace environment.
• Competent in accurately interpreting customer drawings and specifications, manufacturing route cards, process instructions.
• Competent in using all types of standard measuring equipment (Micrometres, Vernier's, Shadowgraph and hard gauging etc.)
• Ability to load and set proved out programs.
• Ability to program would be an advantage but not essential for this role.
