Now that a well-liked and valued member of the team is hanging up his vernier for the last time with us and moving on into the next chapter in his life, we're looking to take on a new CNC Turner Setter Operator to join our team of CNC machinists.

About the job - CNC Turner Setter Operator
We're looking to take on a CNC Turner Setter Operator to take up an important role in our machine shop where just a small group of skilled engineers carry out critical machining projects, producing high value, geometrically complex metal component parts to tight tolerances for customers operating in high-tech industry.

Working on the premises of our well-established precision engineering business, your skills and experience as a CNC Turner Setter Operator will be just what we’re looking for to fulfil an important role in the manufacturing of high quality, premium precision engineered components which are supplied to important customers across the globe.

This is no ordinary CNC Machinist job. If you are a CNC Turner Setter Operator looking to use your skills to produce high-value, complex component parts, working with a very capable, encouraging group of skilled engineers, then this might be just the job for you.

Your duties will include amongst other things:

• Setting up and operating CNC single spindle lathes and twin spindle mill/turn lathes with powered tooling (if you have experience with mill/turn machines, then great. If not, we will be happy to offer all the training you need)
• Understanding programs and fault finding when needed (Fanuc control panels)
• Checking the accuracy of your work against engineering drawings using conventional measuring equipment
• Keeping your area clean and tidy
• Plus any associated duties as required

Your job will see you producing precision engineered component parts from metals such as stainless steel, aluminium, and more exotic metals. You’ll join a small yet already well established and supportive team where you’ll be welcomed and given all the support you need to settle in and to get up to speed in your new job. This is a busy role which will suit you if you take a pride in your work and you like to produce very high quality products that you know will be used in leading technologies.

Working hours: 37 hour working week, Day shift with a lunchtime finish every Friday.
Pay rate: We're looking to pay between £15 and £17 per hour depending on your skill level and experience. Please do get in touch to let us know your salary requirements.
