Cnc Turner Setter Operator

The Role - CNC Turner (Setter/Operator)

We are looking for a CNC Turning Setter/Operator to join a fast-paced, precision-driven machining section. You'll be responsible for setting and operating CNC Lathes, ensuring the production of high-quality aerospace components to exact tolerances. This is an ideal opportunity for a skilled CNC Turner looking to work with modern equipment, develop their expertise, and contribute to a growing, forward-thinking business.

Key Responsibilities

1. Set and operate CNC Lathes, ensuring accurate and efficient production
2. Work with multi-spindle, mill/turn machines to manufacture precision components
3. Read and interpret engineering drawings to maintain tight tolerances
4. Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and CNC programmers to meet production targets
5. Perform quality checks using hand measuring tools to ensure part accuracy
6. Maintain accurate documentation of machining processes, tooling, and setup
7. Adhere to health & safety standards and ensure safe machine operation
8. Support Continuous Improvement initiatives (LEAN, 6S) to optimize processes

About You

1. Proven experience as a CNC Turner (Setter/Operator), ideally with multi-spindle mill/turn machining
2. Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
3. Skilled in using precision measuring instruments to check components
4. Fanuc controls experience preferred (training available)
5. A team player with the ability to work independently when required
6. Passionate about working in a high-precision aerospace manufacturing environment
