Job description

CNC Turner (Nights)

Salary: £25.00 per hour (including 33% shift uplift on £19.00 basic)
Location: Newbury, West Berkshire
Hours: Monday-Thursday, 19:00-07:00 (Night Shift - 4 nights per week)
Start Date: ASAP
Type: Permanent

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a world-class motorsport OEM manufacturer in Newbury. With a full order book and continued investment in the latest technology, the company is seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join their busy night shift team.

CNC Turner Benefits:

CNC Turner Responsibilities:
  1. Setting and operating CNC lathes (Okuma with Fanuc controls)
  2. Editing programs at the machine
  3. Machining to tight tolerances for motorsport and aerospace applications
  4. Performing self-inspection using verniers, micrometers, and calipers
  5. Supporting a clean and efficient machining cell during night operations

CNC Turner Requirements:
  1. Proven experience setting, operating, and editing CNC turning programs (Fanuc)
  2. Background in aerospace, motorsport, or precision subcontract machining
  3. Skilled in using self-inspection tools to verify part conformance
  4. Experience with Vericut (desirable but not essential)
  5. Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced night shift environment
