My client in Cambridgeshire is currently in need of an experienced CNC Turner due to ongoing expansion.

Company Overview:
My client is a leading precision engineering company specialising in high-quality machined components for various industries, including aerospace, automotive, and medical sectors. They are looking for an experienced CNC Turner Programmer to join their dynamic team.

Job Description:
As a CNC Turner Programmer, you will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC turning machines to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications. You will play a key role in ensuring production efficiency, quality, and adherence to industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Program, set up, and operate CNC turning machines.
  2. Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD files, and specifications.
  3. Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for machining operations.
  4. Carry out first-off inspections and quality checks using measuring equipment.
  5. Adjust programmes and machining parameters to optimise production efficiency.
  6. Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments.
  7. Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  8. Work closely with production and quality teams to ensure high standards.
  9. Document production processes and maintain machine records.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience as a CNC Turner.
  2. Proficiency in CNC programming on any machine controls.
  3. Strong knowledge of turning operations and machining principles.
  4. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  5. Good understanding of quality control and inspection methods.
  6. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  8. Strong communication and organisational skills.

Location: Cambridgeshire

Salary: £19/23phr
