Cnc Turner

My client in Poole is currently in need of a CNC Turner due to ongoing expansion.

The Role

They are looking for an experienced CNC Turner - Programmer, Setter & Operator with a strong background in subcontract precision engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Programming, setting, and operating CNC multi-axis lathes (Fanuc & Manual Guide)
2. Manufacturing precision components from materials such as mild steel, stainless steel, super duplex, brass, aluminum, and plastic
3. Producing various quantities, from prototypes to medium batch runs
4. Performing first-off inspections using verniers, thread gauges, and micrometers
5. Maintaining a clean and organized workstation

The Ideal Candidate

1. Industry experience in a subcontracting environment with frequent daily changes
2. Strong knowledge of Fanuc & Manual Guide programming
3. Experience operating CNC lathes with a bar feed system
4. Ability to change and reset machines independently multiple times per day
5. Attention to detail, capable of detailed deburring and first-off inspections
6. Strong work ethic—reliable, proactive, and loyal in previous roles
7. Ability to manage two machines simultaneously

Working Hours

1. Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
2. Friday: 7:30 AM - 1:30 PM (40 hours per week)

Requirements

1. Minimum 5 years of Fanuc programming experience (required)
2. Ability to work on-site in Poole

Location: Poole

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £18.00 - £20.00 per hour + Overtime & Bonus
