Job description
My client in Poole is currently in need of a CNC Turner due to ongoing expansion.
The Role
They are looking for an experienced CNC Turner - Programmer, Setter & Operator with a strong background in subcontract precision engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Programming, setting, and operating CNC multi-axis lathes (Fanuc & Manual Guide)
- Manufacturing precision components from materials such as mild steel, stainless steel, super duplex, brass, aluminum, and plastic
- Producing various quantities, from prototypes to medium batch runs
- Performing first-off inspections using verniers, thread gauges, and micrometers
- Maintaining a clean and organized workstation
The Ideal Candidate
- Industry experience in a subcontracting environment with frequent daily changes
- Strong knowledge of Fanuc & Manual Guide programming
- Experience operating CNC lathes with a bar feed system
- Ability to change and reset machines independently multiple times per day
- Attention to detail, capable of detailed deburring and first-off inspections
- Strong work ethic—reliable, proactive, and loyal in previous roles
- Ability to manage two machines simultaneously

Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
- Friday: 7:30 AM - 1:30 PM (40 hours per week)

- Minimum 5 years of Fanuc programming experience (required)
- Ability to work on-site in Poole

Pay: £18.00 - £20.00 per hour + Overtime & Bonus
