Job Title: CNC Turner

Location: Oldbury, West Midlands

Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4.00pm and 7.30am to 12.30pm - 37 hours in total

Pay: A£32,588 plus overtime, paid monthly

The Role

The successful applicant will have hands-on experience within a CNC turning environment with the ability to work under pressure. The individual will be expected to support the day-to-day production activities in the most efficient manner, working within a team to provide both manufacture of new parts and conduct repairs to support the manufacturing divisions.

Person Specification

1. Experienced in CNC Turning
2. Experience with manual lathe work and general Toolroom machining methods
3. Able to read and understand engineering drawings
4. Organised, multi-skilled and professional with good timekeeping and attendance
5. Responsible for achieving personal and team objectives
6. Able to prioritise own workload and work to tight deadlines under pressure
7. Attention to detail; accuracy is paramount
8. Able to communicate at all levels and have a 'can do' attitude
9. Willing to progress skillset on new equipment and machining methods

Your Responsibilities

1. Operate Toolroom equipment to a high standard
2. Operate a Forklift Truck & Overhead Crane - training will be provided
3. Ensure manufacture is covered in a timely manner
4. Ensure breakdowns are covered in a timely manner
5. Aim for a 'right first time' approach to all work carried out
6. Liaise with contractors/suppliers where required
7. Comply with company Health & Safety and housekeeping standards and procedures
8. Follow verbal or written instructions and work to set out procedures
9. Seek and contribute to the drive for continuous improvement
