Aldershot, Hampshire
Full-time, Permanent
Monday - Thursday: 14:45 pm - 00:00 am
Competitive Hourly Rate + Shift Allowance

Owen Daniels is excited to be working with a growing precision engineering company in Aldershot. As a business, they primarily supply to the Aerospace and Automotive sectors. They are looking for CNC Turners to join the team on the second shift. This role will involve operating various machines to produce conforming products, as well as preparing materials and tooling for upcoming jobs.

Job Description

  1. Undertaking CNC turning/milling machine setups in accordance with requirements, as well as selection and loading of relevant programs
  2. Checking that the product loading and clamping is correct and secure
  3. Edit machine settings from one job to another within a set time frame
  4. Ability to read and understand drawings
  5. Able to use micrometers, verniers and other inspection equipment to check work to drawing dimensions and validation sheets
  6. Ensuring that all machine components are operational/damage-free before operating it and ensuring that broken/damaged tools are reported to the unit manager and replaced immediately
  7. Setting and running multiple machines when the component and/or batch sizes allow
  8. Work in line with the QMS and company processes
  9. Be able to work effectively and efficiently to meet target deadlines

Skills and Qualifications/Experience:
  1. 3 - 5 years' relevant experience in a similar industry/role
  2. Experience using a variety of measuring equipment
  3. Good math and technical skills
  4. Knowledge and experience of systematic problem solving
  5. Be proactive and a great team player
  6. Have excellent attention to detail
