Job description

CNC Machinist / Supervisor

Brighouse

Permanent

Our client, a small engineering business based in Brighouse, has an immediate requirement to recruit a well-versed CNC Machinist, who can program, set, and operate CNC lathes with FANUC and/or SIEMENS based controls.

Duties
  1. Responsible for programming, editing, setting, and operating CNC turning machines.
  2. Ability to program FANUC and SIEMENS based programs.
  3. Producing finished components to quality requirements.
  4. Attend and complete any training courses if required.
  5. Experience of working with small batches and single components.
  6. Work to tight limits in a high precision environment.
  7. Maintain workshop housekeeping.
Requirements
  1. Background in CNC turning.
  2. Previous experience of working with FANUC or SIEMENS.
  3. Able to work to engineering drawings with minimum supervision.
  4. Able to complete tasks using own initiative.
  5. Willingness to comply with all HSQE requirements and procedural controls.
  6. Strong housekeeping and continuous improvement ethic.
  7. Strong team member and willing to assist wherever required.
  8. Skilled in manual handling.
  9. Honest and reliable.

This is a permanent position where you will work 08:00 - 16:50 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 - 12:15 on a Friday.

In return, you can expect an hourly rate of up to £20 per hour.

There is also the opportunity for this role to lead to a supervisory position for the right individual.
