CNC Setter Programmer

Jonathan Lee Recruitment is helping a company in the automotive motorsport industry find a full-time CNC Setter Programmer. The CNC role comes with an attractive salary of £40,000 per annum. The role will be working a permanent day shift pattern.

As a CNC Setter Programmer, you will set existing products on CNC milling machining centres, including downloading programs, setting of tools and fixtures and making required adjustments to offsets.

In your first few weeks in this CNC Setter Programmer role, you can expect to:

1. Change tools and tips
2. Online programming of machines using Fanuc controls
3. Set new fixtures and check programs for new products
4. Carry out in-process inspection checks, including the use of air gauging, and document where appropriate
5. Operate CMM for measurement checks.

To apply for this CNC Setter Programmer role, you will need experience of HAAS, Mazak, and Matsura machining centres. You will also need the following:

1. Experience with Fanuc and or Mazak/Mazatrol controls
2. Be able to read and understand G code
3. The ability to work using your initiative
4. Good interpersonal skills
5. A methodical approach to work.
