Job description

My client, an Engineering company based in Droitwich, is looking to recruit a CNC Section Manager on a permanent basis.


This is a hands-on role, where you will manage the team to deliver a first-class service to customers, both external and internal, and ensure that production targets are met.


Main Responsibilities:
  1. Program, set up, and operate CNC machinery.
  2. Oversee day-to-day operations of the CNC machine shop.
  3. Allocate tasks, monitor workflow, and ensure production targets are met.
  4. Monitor and adjust machine settings to optimise performance and maintain product quality.
  5. Interpret detailed blueprints and drawings; calculate dimensions.
  6. Measure and test completed products to check for defects.
  7. Monitor and control costs in line with the business plan.
  8. Provide customer quotations.

Requirements:
  1. Previous experience working in a managerial or supervisory role is essential.
  2. Previous experience in the programming, setting, and operating of XYZ CNC machines is essential.
  3. An ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with both colleagues and customers.
  4. An understanding of the demands of the role and the time and attention needed to produce impressive results.
  5. A successful track record of delivering outstanding results.
  6. Experience in product costing.
  7. Understanding of CAD/CAM software.

This role is based on Mon-Fri and the salary on offer is up to £45,000.
