Key Responsibilities:
- Independent Programming & Operation: Take charge of programming and operating the 3-axis VM20i and 5-axis VMX30Ui CNC Hurco Mills. Your proficiency in these machines will ensure optimal performance and precision in the production process.
- Conventional Programming in WinMax: Utilise WinMax for conventional programming, employing DXF files to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
- NC Programming with Fusion 360: Demonstrate your prowess in NC programming through Fusion 360, contributing to efficient machining processes.
- Material Expertise: Leverage your experience in machining aluminium, plastics, and free-issue parts to produce high-quality components that meet the exacting standards of our client’s diverse sectors.
- Tool and Setup Management: Efficiently manage tools and setups, ensuring seamless transitions between tasks and minimising downtime in the production process.
- Technical Drawing Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings accurately to guide the machining process, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications.
- Organisational Skills: Exhibit strong organisational skills to maintain an orderly workflow and meet production deadlines consistently.
- Communication Excellence: Maintain clear and effective communication with team members and management to foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Engineering Hygiene: Uphold good engineering hygiene practices to ensure a clean and safe work area, contributing to operational efficiency and safety.
- Reliability and Punctuality: Demonstrate reliability and punctuality, essential traits that help maintain the smooth functioning of production schedules.
Salary: £38,000 per annum
Working Hours:
- Late Shift: Monday – Thursday (14:15 – 22:45), Friday OFF
- Early Shift: Monday – Thursday (06:00 – 15:00), Friday (06:00 – 18:00)
- Alternate Weeks: Rotate between early and late shifts, with every other Friday off. This schedule provides a balanced approach to work-life integration while maintaining a 40-hour workweek.
