Job description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our dynamic team at a growing, family-run engineering company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming and operating CNC machinery using Siemens or Fanuc controls and CAM software to program 3 axis milling machines.

Working within a small team with a friendly atmosphere, your duties will include interpreting engineering drawings to manufacture parts for a range of industries, using your skills and knowledge to program and run predominantly CNC machining centers. Experience on turning centers would be advantageous. As a small company with 8 years of trading, we are looking for somebody to assist us in growing into the next stage, which will offer a number of opportunities for training and development to the right candidate. Good work ethics, punctuality, and willingness are rewarded with an annual bonus.

Duties
  • Develop and optimise CNC programmes for machining operations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
  • Operate CNC machines, including setting up tools and fixtures.
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret CAD designs and create programmes.
  • Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the machining process, applying logical problem-solving skills.
