CNC Operator

Job Description

CNC Operator needed to initially work on the dayshift to undertake a period of training, following which you will move onto a 2-shift rotation.

Duties

1. Working on press brake machines
2. Working on a Hydraulic or mechanical press
3. Working to and understanding engineering drawings
4. Setting tools and in-process inspection

Required Knowledge, Skills or Experience

Ideally with experience working as second person on press brake machines, or experience working on a Hydraulic or mechanical press. Experience of working to and understanding engineering drawings is essential in both first and third angle projection. The ability to work unsupervised is required as although in a team of approx. 10 people, the individual will be required to work through various jobs without assistance, setting tools and in-process inspection.

Hours of work:

1. Dayshift Mon Thurs: 8:00am to 5:00pm
2. Friday: 8:00am to 12:30pm
3. 2 shift rotation: Mon Thurs: 2:30pm to 11:00pm
4. Friday: 12:30pm to 7:00pm
5. Mon Thurs: 6:00am to 2:30pm
6. Friday: 6:00am to 12:30 pm

Rate of Pay: £13.73 per hour
