Job description

All Square Recruitment are working with a leading precision engineering company specialising in high-quality component manufacturing for the automotive and precision engineering sectors.


The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced CNC Miller to program, set, and operate CNC milling machines using Hurco and Heidenhain controls. The successful candidate will have a strong background in precision machining, particularly within the automotive sector, and be able to manufacture components that meet stringent quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Program, set, and operate CNC milling machines using Hurco and Heidenhain controls
  2. Develop, edit, and optimise CNC programs to ensure efficient machining processes
  3. Prepare machines by setting up tooling, fixtures, and work pieces for precision manufacturing
  4. Monitor machining operations, ensuring adherence to strict tolerances and high-quality output
  5. Conduct first-off and in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments
  6. Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues, including tool wear, programming discrepancies, and machine errors
  7. Perform routine maintenance to ensure machine efficiency and minimise downtime.

Requirements:

  1. Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications
  2. Strong knowledge of Hurco or Heidenhain programming languages with the ability to create and modify programs
  3. Keen understanding of machining principles with experience in tight tolerance requirements
  4. Experience troubleshooting machining issues efficiently
  5. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a production environment

Working hours

Monday to Thursday 7:30am till 4:30pm
Friday 7:30am till 12:30pm
