CNC Miller Programmer Setter Operator

Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced CNC 5 Axis Programmer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for independently programming and operating 3-axis VM20i and 5 axis VMX30Ui CNC Hurco Mills. This position requires someone with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members.

Responsibilities

1. Independently program and operate 3-axis VM20i and 5 axis VMX30Ui CNC Hurco Mills
2. Conventional Programming in WinMax, using DXF
3. NC Programming, Fusion 360
4. Experience machining aluminium and plastics and free issue parts
5. Manage tools and set-ups
6. Read technical drawings
7. Demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills
8. Maintain good engineering hygiene
9. Ensure reliability and punctuality in all tasks

Qualifications

1. Proven experience in independently programming and operating 3-axis and 5 axis CNC Mills
2. Proficiency in Conventional Programming in WinMax and using DXF
3. Experience with NC Programming, Fusion 360
4. Knowledge of machining aluminium and plastics and free issue parts
5. Ability to manage tools and set-ups effectively
6. Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for engineering hygiene
7. Excellent organizational and communication skills
8. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
9. Reliability and punctuality in all tasks

Day-to-day

1. Independently programming and operating 3-axis and 5 axis CNC Hurco Mills
2. Collaborating with team members to ensure efficient and accurate production
3. Managing tools and set-ups for machining operations
4. Maintaining engineering hygiene standards
5. Reading and interpreting technical drawings for machining operations

Package

Salary: £45,000 p.a (includes 15% uplift for late shift) based on experience
Holiday: 25 days holiday plus 8 days bank holiday
Location: Based in Fishponds Trading Estate, Bristol, BS5 7UY
Hours: Mon - Fri, 40 hours (alternate weeks- early & late shifts, every other Friday off)
Early Shift: Monday - Thursday (06:00 - 15:00) Friday (06:00 - 17.30)
Late Shift: Monday - Thursday (13.30 - 22:45) Friday OFF
