CNC Miller / Programmer

We are currently recruiting for a CNC Miller who can also programme for our client based in Halifax (HX5).

Hours of Work:
38 hours per week
Monday to Thursday: 7.30am - 4.00pm
Friday: 7.30am - 3.15pm

Pay rate: £16 - £18 per hour based on experience.

Responsibilities:

1. Set up and operate CNC Milling machines.
2. Read and interpret engineering drawings and process cards to determine dimensions, tolerances, and materials required.
3. Utilise various measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure accuracy of machined parts.
4. Perform routine maintenance tasks on machines, such as lubrication, cleaning, and tool sharpening.
5. Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
6. Collaborate with other team members, such as engineers and welders, to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
7. Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean and organised work area.

Requirements:

1. Relevant qualifications.
2. Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of machine tools and their functions.
3. Ability to accurately measure dimensions and tolerances using various tools and instruments.
4. Familiarity with machining materials such as steel, aluminium, and cast products.
5. Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.
