Job description

Are you an experienced & skilled CNC Miller looking for a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment?

Our client in Whittlesey is looking for an experienced CNC Miller/Operator to join the Tool Room team.

You'll play a key part in producing high-precision mould tool components and EDM electrodes, working with cutting-edge CNC milling machines and 3D CADCAM software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate within all current Health and Safety Legislation (HASAW Act 1974).
  • Programme, set, and run CNC milling machines using 3D CADCAM software.
  • Repair and maintain mould tools to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Operate overhead cranes safely and responsibly.
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and machine maintenance.
  • Work flexibly to meet production deadlines.
  • Assist in training and mentoring apprentices or junior team members.
  • Support operations at any of the production sites, as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Tool Room Manager or Supervisor.
About You:
  • Proven experience with CNC milling machines.
  • Proficient in 3D CADCAM software.
  • Overhead crane licence needed.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a team and independently.
  • Previous experience in toolmaking or mould tool maintenance.
